National Kidney Foundation Great Plates Gala

The Great Plates Celebration is an event for food enthusiasts who want to enjoy great cuisine while supporting a worthy cause, the National Kidney Foundation.

Top chefs from participating, local, restaurants showcase their favorite dishes for guests to sample on event night. Attendees can appreciate the chefs' creative culinary skills as they compete for the prestigious Best Dish and People’s Choice Awards.

The event also celebrates the accomplishments of two local kidney advocates. This year our honorees are Dr. Brad Warady, a world renowned pediatric nephrologist and Virginia Clune, the founder of the Kansas City Kidney Foundation Chapter. 

The National Kidney Foundation is working to revolutionize the fight against Kidney Disease. 37 million Americans are impacted by the disease (that's 1 in 7 people) and nearly 90% won't know until it's stage 4 or 5 out of 5 stages.
