Nonprofit Executive Breakfasts are held three times per year with the goal of bringing together the executive leaders of Kansas City's nonprofits for idea sharing and networking.
Leading Differences in Teams
Homogeneous teams rarely exist, let alone produce exceptional results. However, differences on teams can regularly cause heartache. Leaders profess that personality conflicts and differences consistently get in the way of them leading successfully. The paradox is that organizations work diligently to increase the levels of diversity in their workplaces because they understand that it plays a vital role in achieving successful results. The outcome? Dissatisfaction is at an all-time high and most people want to avoid having the tough conversations necessary to move the needle forward.
Nicole Price, author, trainer, leadership expert and CEO of Lively Paradox, discusses how to bring about authentic, effective, and sustainable shift within our teams; encouraging leaders to demonstrate a willingness to embrace and invest in three functional dimensions of culturally responsive leadership -- institutional, leadership, and personal.
Your participation is important to us and to your colleagues throughout the Kansas City area. Join us to nurture partnerships and build supportive relationships with peers over casual breakfast. Our goal is to foster a community of informed nonprofit executives, and ultimately help leaders become even more effective in their leadership roles.
Please note: Attendance at this breakfast is solely for nonprofit executive directors and CEOs.
Nicole Price believes two things: 1) If leadership is anything, it's personal; and 2) everyone can be a great leader. Her session participants give glowing reviews and often request repeat appearances. She'll make you laugh; she'll make you think; she'll make you better. Nicole has a B.S. and a master's degree in adult education. She is the author of The Power of Seven Second Chances: Obtaining Success Without Firing the Rest and Lively Paradox: An Authentic Perspective on Issues of Diversity and Inclusion.
