The Peace Pavilion is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching peacemaking skills to all through an interactive children's museum, fostering partnerships within the community and with other organizations. For the past 30 years in two different locations, the organization has modeled creative ways to promote peaceful habits.
Mission Statement: The Peace Pavilion will equip people of all ages to create peaceful environments and practices in their families, schools, and communities through active exploration, education, advocacy, and community collaboration.
The Peace Pavilion is seeking 5-7 enthusiastic and committed individuals with a passion for children, education, peaceful learning, living, and action to serve on the steering committee for our 30th Anniversary Campaign this fall.
Position Description

- Leadership and teamwork

- National, regional, local, or other nonprofit-specific oversight
- Education or social work
- Organization and attention to detail
- Fundraising oversight
- Tech-savvy
- Dedication to peaceful pursuits
Affiliations and community connections are also important for strengthening our mission, including engagement with national and local community or civic groups, donor networks, chambers of commerce, grant-making bodies, foundations, government agencies, educational institutions, business and corporate networks, community leaders, media networks, or other relevant affiliations.
