Job Summary: The Corporate Engagement Coordinator strengthens Habitat KC’s relationships with corporate partners through thoughtful stewardship, volunteer engagement, and coordinated fundraising support. This role manages a portfolio of corporate donors and volunteer groups, ensures high-quality sponsorship fulfillment, maintains accurate donor records, and helps create meaningful volunteer experiences that inspire continued partnership and investment in Habitat KC’s mission of expanding affordable homeownership across the Kansas City region.

 

Resource Development Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of entry-level corporate donors and volunteer prospects, implementing strategies for retention, recognition, and growth.
  • Conduct research and prepare prospect profiles for potential and existing corporate partners.
  • Lead sponsorship fulfillment to ensure corporate partners receive all promised benefits, recognition and engagement opportunities. 
  • Maintain accurate donor records in Giveffect, ensuring data integrity and tracking all corporate interactions.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with current and lapsed corporate sponsors, identifying opportunities to deepen partnership involvement. 
  • Support additional fundraising initiatives and development activities as assigned.

Event Coordination Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate event logistics for Habitat KC Affinity Builds and third-party fundraisers.
  • Coordinate corporate volunteer engagement events, ensuring an excellent experience that reinforces long-term partnerships.
  • Serve as co-chair of the internal “Fun Force” committee, leading efforts to plan and execute staff appreciation and engagement events.
  • Manage event logistics for both internal and external development events as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications, Education and Experience: 

  • 2 years’ experience in planning, coordinating, and executing events, with additional experience in volunteer management or resource development preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and clear communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Highly collaborative in approach; possess energy, professionalism, motivation to work independently and proactively, and a drive to achieve goals. 
  • Detail-oriented self-starter who plans and executes events and projects with accuracy and follow-through.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and donor management software. 
  • Passion for Habitat’s mission and goals to build a world where everyone has a decent place to call home

  • Outside meetings and presentations are frequently required
  • Some evening and weekend meetings required

Travel: 

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some evening and weekend meetings are required. Outside events, meetings, and presentations will be required at times.

Salary starts at $40,000
