This position will work collaboratively to raise funds for the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County (CHC) by connecting with potential donors, developing fundraising strategies, and organizing events and campaigns. The Fundraising Coordinator is CHC’s frontline fundraiser and will also manage donor relationships, track donations, and ensure compliance with fundraising regulations. Key responsibilities include research, outreach, and event planning.
The mission of CHC is to enhance health outcomes in Wyandotte County through informing, collaborating, aligning, mobilizing, and activating organizations, government entities and community members. We serve as a community convener, organizer, and intermediary between decision-makers, providers, and those in need through our collective health improvement efforts. CHC amplifies community voices to increase health care equity, quality, and access by addressing structural/political influencers of health, including racism and redlining. Over time, the intersectionality of our work has led to providing services across the Greater Kansas City metro area, with our focus still on Wyandotte County.???
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning, organizing and executing fundraising events
- Connecting with potential donors and stewarding current/past donors – maybe we could say this as “Fostering ongoing relationships with donors”
- Developing marketing campaigns and materials for fundraising activities
- Working with the Events Coordinator to recruit, train and manage volunteers to help with outreach efforts
- Ensuring data excellence by maintaining data hygiene (quality records), recording donations, sponsors and other fundraising details, and maintaining constituent (donor, volunteer, partner) records
- Monitoring the success of donation campaigns
- Working with the Communications Coordinator to generate awareness about the organization
- Conducting research to identify new potential donors and innovative fundraising opportunities
- With Development Director, ensuring fundraising activities are in alignment with organizational priorities and mission

Work Hours and Benefits?
This is a part-time position with the schedule to be determined with the Executive Director, expected to be approximately 20 hours per week. We are open to engaging the right candidate for this fundraising role either as a W-2 employee or a 1099 contractor, based on mutual alignment.
