Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Fundraising Planning:

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with Red Tail Academy’s mission and long-term objectives.

Set annual fundraising goals and establish performance metrics to measure progress.

Donor Cultivation & Stewardship:

Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and community organizations.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Create personalized stewardship plans to recognize and engage donors.

Grant Writing & Proposal Development:

Research and apply for grants that align with Red Tail Academy’s programs and initiatives.

Develop compelling proposals and reports to secure funding from diverse sources.

Event Planning & Campaigns:

Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to generate financial support and community engagement.

Collaborate with the communications team to create promotional materials for campaigns.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

Work closely with the Board of Directors and other leadership to identify fundraising priorities and opportunities.

Foster collaboration across all areas of the organization to ensure alignment in achieving fundraising goals.

Data Management & Reporting:

Oversee donor database management to track contributions, donor interactions, and campaign effectiveness.

Provide regular reports to leadership on fundraising performance and projections.

Qualifications

Proven track record of successful fundraising leadership, including major gifts, grants, and campaign management.

Strong understanding of fundraising best practices, donor stewardship, and nonprofit operations.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.

Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
