POSITION SUMMARY
This Senior Philanthropy Manager is to garner philanthropic support for Saint Luke’s by maintaining a portfolio of quality prospects and donors, while serving as the team lead for the Mid America Heart Institute. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors for philanthropic programs. Your expertise in building and maintaining relationships will allow you to successfully build out our organization’s foundation resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assigned fundraising revenue and metrics responsibility.
• Maintain a portfolio of 60-70 donors and prospects focused on gifts $25k or higher.
• Supervision of a gift officer.
• Manage the strategy and objectives of major donors within portfolio.
• Responsible for the execution of major gifts/donations.
• Track donor moves management in database.
• Attend and participate in team meetings, foundation, and donor events.
• Serve as the Foundation partner with Physician Champions and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as a fundraising partner for the Service Line Division Chair and/or Program Director.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•High ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality in working with donors.
•Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
•Exceptional time management skills, with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple donors simultaneously, seeing projects to completion with quality.
•Creativity as well analytical ability to maximize donor moves management and strategy.
•Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively as a part of a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Healthcare experience is not required but would be helpful in the role.
•To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
•5-7 years of relevant experience.
•Bachelor's Degree (Required).
