Marketing and Communications Specialist

The Catholic Education Foundation transforms lives of children and their families by providing scholarships to at-risk students at the lowest poverty levels. The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for creating and publishing content, as well as managing the production and performance of web, digital media, and direct response marketing to support fundraising, stewardship, and outreach efforts. This position is full-time, will average 40 hours per week, with the opportunity for a flexible work schedule. This position is hybrid, with work completed in the office and remotely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production of donor and constituent communications.
  • Create and manage website content; collaborate with web developers.
  • Write and design email content and manage email groups.
  • Develop donor appeals and campaigns in digital media and direct mail.
  • Manage production of video content for events and digital media working with outside vendors.
  • Create presentations for community outreach events.
  • Manage the marketing committee, including scheduling and leading regular meetings. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with both internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrate ownership and initiative, and act with urgency to meet individual and organizational commitments.
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools and website content management systems.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in communications, social media or related field is preferred. 
  • Experience in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, graphic design, and photo editing software is preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products and other communication technology is required.
  • Experience with content management systems (such as WordPress, Squarespace) and email marketing platforms; experience with Flocknote is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Catholic education is a plus.
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred.
