Position Summary
The role of the Program Manager is vital to the growth of the mission and vision of The Single Mom KC (TSMKC). The Hope Ambassador Program Manager oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of the Hope Ambassador program, primarily focusing on leading Hope Ambassador volunteers to walk alongside single mom clients and ensure connection with community resources. Additionally, this position developes and maintains community resource partnerships throughout the Kansas City Metro.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Program Management
Volunteer Management
Work with Volunteer Manager to recruit and retain Hope Ambassador volunteers
Plan and lead Hope Ambassador volunteer trainings
Manage and provide ongoing feedback to volunteers
In partnership with the Program Director, assess and mitigate client and volunteer risk
Work with the Communications Manager to promote volunteer needs via all TSMKC communication channels, including website, social media, presentations, and e-newsletters
Maintain volunteer information through data input via the VolunteerLocal Platform and NEON CRM

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Three years experience in managing volunteers and teams
Three years experience in case management, program management, or social work fields
Awareness of current community challenges and opportunities related to single-mother families
Ability to use computers for word processing, financial management, email, and Internet
Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
Strong conflict management skills
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related fields
Demonstration of strong leadership abilities, including leading a team and delegating effectively
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish
Excellent written and communication skills
Experience working within a faith-based organization is a plus
WORK HOURS: This is a full-time position. Some evening and weekend work will be required (approximately 15% of the time). TSMKC offers flexible scheduling and a hybrid work setting.
TRAVEL: Regular travel throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area to develop community resources.

SALARY: The salary range for this position is $40,000-$45,000 depending on education and experience.
