Director of Training and Prevention

Provide Prevention, MDT, and Community training including:
 

  • Over the prevention programs of the CPC (currently including but not limited to ACT -Raising Safe Kids, Steward of Children, and CSEC program).
  • Liaison with the CTF/Mo-NACA or other identified community projects
  • Coordinate all MDT and community training for counties served
  • Build Community support for the CPC prevention programming and training
  • Research, recommend, and develop additional prevention training that fits with The CPC mission
  • Coordinate training for staff and MDT regarding Secondary Trauma
  • Coordinate and track all staff and MDT training required for NCA accreditation
  • Supervise staff associated with these programs
  • Develop and build community support for prevention and training programs provided by The CPC
  • Foster open and positive relationships with all agencies involved with the Child Protection Center
  • Participate in supervision, professional development and ongoing training activities
  • Coordinate with the Development department regarding grants and grant reporting; including maintaining records and data required for grant reporting
  • Member of The CPC Leadership Team
  • Other duties as assigned

 
Basic Requirements: 
 
             Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required / Master's preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in the child abuse-related field required; Program administration, including staff supervision, clinical, and/or practice experience preferred.  Candidates must demonstrate advanced working knowledge of child welfare systems and child abuse and neglect research.  Candidate must have experience with training and knowledge of prevention concepts. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, computer skills and have public speaking experience. Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to accomplish and advance program goals, a willingness to remain abreast of current research related to victim responses to trauma as well as child abuse and neglect, agency staff and volunteers, and multidisciplinary team members.

Starting salary: $80,000
